Hey there, I’m Casey DW Jones – a small-town kid with big dreams and an insatiable thirst for adventure! Most of my family hails from Topeka, but I grew up on the windswept high-desert plains of southwest Kansas in a little town with lots of pride: Lakin. After a memorable high school career, I traded the cow pens for college life in Lawrence, Kansas, which is still one of my favorite towns in the entire world. Rock Chalk, baby. IYKYK.

At the age of 21, I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Literature and set off to explore the wide world. From the rugged landscapes of Oregon to the snowy peaks of Colorado, I’ve called many places home, soaking up every moment of life’s grand adventures.

If you name a job, I have probably done it along the way. My career journey has been one wild and unpredictable ride! I’ve done everything from bartending on ski slopes to operating chair lifts and tour-guiding, serving as a client services rep for a software company and captioning TV shows and movies. I even spent four years running a toy train store in Saint Paul!

In 2017, I earned my master’s degree in creative writing, and began to get serious about pursuing writing as a career. I’ve dabbled in crafting tales for children’s books, and have published lots of short fiction, and I now get paid to channel my creativity into writing advertising copy.

Life’s thrown its fair share of curveballs my direction. Most recently, I was catapulted into the whirlwind world of single parenthood. My two daughters, ages 6 and 10, keep things fun, exciting and, yes, exhausting! But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Life has been a rollercoaster ride of exhaustion, challenges, and rebuilding, but I’m here, and ready for the next chapter – which is already brimming with exploration, adventure, romance, and plenty of fun! So, let’s dive into this wild ride together and see where the road takes us next!

I sincerely hope you enjoy my musings, stories, and travel tips!
