Hey there, I’m Casey DW Jones – a small-town kid with a taste for adventure! Most of my family hails from Topeka, but I grew up on the high desert of southwest Kansas.

In 2001, I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!) and set off to explore the world. From the rugged landscapes of Oregon to the snowy peaks of Colorado, I’ve called many places home.

If you name a job, I have probably done it along the way. My career journey has been one wild and unpredictable ride — we’re talking bartending and operating lifts at ski resorts, park rangering, tour-guiding, softwaring, and captioning TV shows. I even spent four years running a toy train store in Saint Paul! Chugga chugga!

In 2017, I earned my MFA in Fiction Writing from Hamline University. Since then, I’ve dabbled in children’s library books, published lots of short stories, and now I finally get paid to channel my creativity full-time as a writer of advertising copy.

Recently, I entered the complexities of single parenthood. My two daughters, ages 6 and 10, keep things fun, exciting and, yes, exhausting! But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am currently seeking literary representation, so let me know if you are interested in seeing more of my writing (like my full-length novel manuscript). I also love to to chat about art, the creative process, travel, and life in general, so shoot me a message if you want to chat!
